The 5 Best Cat Trees Maine Coon

A Maine Coon can make a tall cat tree look like a toy if the perches are too small. I would measure the cat stretched out, then the usable top platform, base footprint and distance between jumps. The tree also needs a safe place in the room: anchoring a tall tower to the wall matters more than a dramatic product height number.

The S72 heavy-duty tower is my starting point for a large adult cat. F61 offers a shorter tree with a documented broad top perch; the 66-inch corner version uses awkward floor space better. F70 Pro adds height for an active climber, while the XXL multi-cat tower offers several high resting spots. All five need dimensions and assembly checked against the actual cats, not just the Maine Coon label.

01 — Globlazer

Best large-cat tower overall

Globlazer S72 Heavy-Duty

4.6/5Amazon
$89.99In Stock

S72 is the tower I would measure first for a full-grown Maine Coon. Its heavy-duty, large-cat format offers more convincing climbing space than a narrow general-purpose tree, provided the top and intermediate perches fit the cat's body.

It leads because size and price are balanced in this set, not because a weight label guarantees stability. Check the assembled base and use the maker's anchor where appropriate; a big cat landing at speed can test any freestanding tower.

02 — Globlazer

Best shorter broad perch

Globlazer F61 Large-Cat Tree

4.6/5Amazon
$139.99In Stock

F61 is useful when ceiling height or a nearby window makes a 72-inch tower awkward. Its stated 17.7-by-15.7-inch top perch gives a concrete measurement to compare with a cat that likes to curl or stretch up high.

It is second because that documented perch can matter more than an extra foot of height, though the current price is higher than S72. I would still check the lower landings and base footprint for a safe route up and down.

03 — Globlazer

Best room-corner fit

Globlazer 66-Inch Corner Tree

4.5/5Amazon
$99.98In Stock

A corner tree can put a large cat's climbing route where furniture otherwise leaves dead floor space. This 66-inch Globlazer is worth measuring if the room cannot take a wide central tower.

It ranks third because fitting a corner is a specific advantage, while the usable platforms and base still need checking against the cat's weight and reach. Do not let a tidy footprint squeeze a Maine Coon onto tiny shelves.

04 — Globlazer

Best taller climbing route

Globlazer F70 Pro

4.7/5Amazon
$94.99In Stock

F70 Pro is the choice I would inspect for a cat that climbs repeatedly and wants a taller sequence of levels. The extra height is only useful if each jump has a stable landing and the assembled tree can be anchored in the chosen spot.

It is fourth because the current price is high and the listing gives me less clear platform detail than F61. Measure landings rather than buy the word Pro, and leave enough space around the tower for a large cat to descend safely.

Best several-cat resting spots

Globlazer XXL Multi-Cat Tower

4.4/5Amazon
$89.98In Stock

The XXL tower offers three top perches, a practical idea when more than one large cat wants the best view. I would compare each perch's usable width, not just count them, and look for a base that stays planted as cats trade places.

It finishes fifth for a single Maine Coon because extra perches are not automatically better than one generous platform. It makes more sense for a multi-cat home that can dedicate floor space and anchor the structure properly.

Good questions

FAQ — Cat Trees Maine Coon

01How wide should a Maine Coon perch be?+

Compare the usable platform with your cat’s length and preferred sleeping posture. A tall tower with narrow shelves is a poor fit for a large cat.

02Does a heavy-duty label mean a tree cannot tip?+

No. Base size, placement, assembly and the maker’s wall-anchoring guidance still matter, especially for large jumping cats.

The short answer

Start with the Globlazer S72 Heavy-Duty.

I recommend it for a large active cat needing a roomy tower. Choose something else if your room only fits a low compact perch.
