Choosing an iPad Keyboard Case

The previous list contained desktop mechanical keyboards that did not fit or protect an iPad, so those recommendations have been removed.

01

Identify the exact iPad

Use Settings > General > About to confirm the model name and generation. Screen size alone is not enough because camera, magnet and connector layouts can differ between generations.

02

Choose the connection and case format

Apple documents model-specific magnetic keyboards as well as support for external Bluetooth keyboards. Decide whether you need an integrated protective case, a trackpad and pass-through charging.

03

Verify regional layout and protection

Confirm the keyboard language, key layout, weight and front-and-back protection. A generic desktop keyboard is not an iPad keyboard case.

04

Why there is no ranked shortlist yet

The previous products did not satisfy the page’s defining requirement. We removed them and will only restore a five-product comparison when five distinct current offers pass the relevance, price, availability and source checks.
