A standard queen mattress in the United States measures approximately 60 inches wide by 80 inches long.
That makes it wider than a full mattress but smaller than a king.

Practical checks before you continue
Measure the mattress itself at its widest and longest points, then measure the frame separately. Upholstered rails, storage drawers and headboards can make the assembled bed much larger than 60 by 80 inches. Mark the footprint on the floor with removable tape before ordering.
Plan the delivery route as well as the bedroom. Stair corners, lifts and narrow doors may limit a rigid foundation even when a flexible boxed mattress fits. Record doorway width and height, ceiling clearance on turns and the package dimensions supplied by the seller. Do not bend a mattress unless its manufacturer permits it.
