Choosing Flooring for a Home Gym

The previous list contained exercise accessories rather than five flooring systems, so the product ranking has been withdrawn.

01

Start with the training and load

Rubber rolls, interlocking tiles and foam tiles solve different problems. Free weights, cardio machines and bodyweight training place different loads on the floor and need different impact, stability and cleaning characteristics.

02

Measure the full installed area

Compare coverage per pack, finished thickness, edge pieces, expansion guidance and the subfloor requirements. A low pack price can be misleading when several packs and separate edging are required.

03

Do not substitute exercise accessories

Resistance bands, pull-up bars and push-up boards belong in a gym, but they are not flooring. A small treadmill mat also is not automatically a room-scale flooring system.

04

Why there is no ranked shortlist yet

The previous products did not satisfy the page’s defining requirement. We removed them and will only restore a five-product comparison when five distinct current offers pass the relevance, price, availability and source checks.
