Our recommendations are designed to be useful, traceable and honest about what we know, how we know it and where the evidence stops.
Purpose and scope
Few Better publishes concise buying guides for readers who want a manageable shortlist. Every standard guide contains exactly five distinct products selected for the guide’s stated audience, constraints and use cases.
We aim to explain the differences that matter before a purchase, not to reproduce retailer descriptions or create a page for every possible search variation.
Sources and verification
We prefer manufacturer pages, manuals and other primary documentation for product identity, specifications, compatibility and safety information. Exact retailer pages are used to verify the offer, price, availability and destination. Independent sources may be consulted when they add credible evidence about ownership or performance.
A source check is recorded only when it succeeds. Missing evidence is not inferred, and a failed access attempt does not prove that a product is unavailable.
Research and testing
Most Few Better guides are research-based comparisons. We state when products have not been physically tested and only use hands-on language when Few Better has directly used the product under a documented process. Manufacturer claims are identified as claims rather than presented as our measurements.
Automation may assist product discovery, consistency checks, availability monitoring and drafting. It does not count as product experience or replace editorial responsibility for relevance, accuracy and clear limitations.
Selection and commercial independence
Products are selected for relevance, evidence, practical differences, value and availability. Commercial relationships do not guarantee inclusion or determine ranking. Sponsored work, if introduced, will be clearly labelled and kept separate from independent recommendations.
Retailer links can change after publication. Readers should confirm the exact model, seller, configuration, final price and delivery terms before buying.
Updates and accountability
Price and availability checks are tracked separately from substantive editorial updates. Dates should reflect completed work and are never changed only to make a page appear fresh.
